Sporty's Pilot Shop Partners with Jeppesen ForeFlight to Distribute Education Tools
Sporty's Pilot Shop, a powerhouse provider of aviation supplies and educational support, has announced a new partnership with Jeppesen ForeFlight . Sporty’s will now distribute aviation education products for pilots who wish to use the technology to its fullest capacity. According to Sporty's, the company now offers a broad portfolio of Jeppesen ForeFlight education products, including a plethora of resources such as training manuals, test guides, syllabi, logbooks, books, e-books, and online courses. Sporty's, based in Batavia, Ohio, has been supporting pilot education for some 60 years. Founded by the late Hal Shevers, what started as a pilot supply store is now known as one of the more robust online training programs in the country with innovative digital platforms to help pilots get their education wherever and whenever it is convenient for them. Jeppesen made extensive notes about the airports he visited, noting landmarks like buildings and railroad tracks along with prominent natural features. In 1934 he began mass-producing his navigation charts and selling them to pilots. Today Jeppesen ForeFlight is one of the aviation industry's most-trusted names in pilot training and flight operations.
