Embraer reported a significant milestone in the second quarter of 2026 by delivering 65 aircraft, the highest total for this quarter since 2010. This total represents a notable increase from 44 deliveries in the first quarter of the year and a rise from 61 deliveries in the same period in 2025. The Brazilian manufacturer attributed this result partly to its production leveling initiative, designed to distribute deliveries more evenly throughout the year and avoid seasonal delivery spikes.
Breaking down the quarterly deliveries by segment, Embraer delivered 20 aircraft in its Commercial Aviation division during Q2 2026. This includes six of the E195-E2 jets, a regional jet model pivotal to Embraer's commercial offering. The 20 deliveries double the 10 commercial aircraft shipped in the first quarter of 2026, signalling stronger demand and production capacity in this segment.
The Executive Aviation sector showed robust growth as well, with 45 aircraft delivered in the second quarter compared to 29 in the first quarter. This leap also compares favourably against 38 deliveries in the same quarter last year, reflecting an upward trend in Embraer's executive jet business. Through the first half of 2026, the company recorded a total of 109 aircraft deliveries across its commercial and executive lines, a marked increase from 91 in the same period of 2025.
Interestingly, Embraer did not record any deliveries in its Defense & Security division during this quarter. This absence suggests that the company’s defense-related programs either did not reach delivery milestones in this timeframe or are on different production schedules. Embraer's focus in Q2 remained predominantly on civilian market segments.
The production leveling efforts referenced by Embraer aim to smooth out delivery volumes throughout the year to better meet customer demands and optimize manufacturing cadence. This approach can mitigate bottlenecks and align supply with demand, helping the company maintain service quality and responsiveness in both commercial and executive segments.
For the full year 2026, Embraer maintains its delivery guidance with expectations of 80 to 85 commercial aircraft deliveries. Additionally, the company forecasts 160 to 170 executive aircraft deliveries for the year, indicating continued strength in the private and business aviation market. These projections underscore Embraer’s confidence in sustained market demand and production capability.
Embraer's record second quarter deliveries reflect a recovery and growth phase following years of fluctuating market conditions and challenges related to global economic disruptions. The emphasis on spreading deliveries more evenly throughout the year represents a strategic effort to stabilize operations and meet client expectations more reliably.
This robust performance from Embraer is notable in the context of a competitive regional aviation industry where manufacturers face pressures from new entrants, evolving customer requirements, and global supply chain considerations. The company's ability to increase output in both commercial and executive sectors while managing overall production schedules points to operational resilience.
Looking ahead, industry analysts will be watching how Embraer’s delivery trends evolve throughout the remainder of 2026, particularly as the company balances its commercial and business aviation portfolios. Monitoring the resumption or ramp-up of Defense & Security deliveries will also be important to gauge the broadness of Embraer’s market performance moving forward.

Mexico's Interjet Left with 22 Idle Sukhoi Superjet 100s Amid Financial Collapse
In 2011 Interjet was Mexico's third-largest airline by passengers and was looking for a regional aircraft to support its domestic network. The obvious candidates were from Bombardier and Embraer but the carrier instead signed for 30 Sukhoi Superjet 100s! The financial logic was understandable at the time. However, this would be a fatal decision for Interjet, as it would be a major factor in the airline's downfall.Full article: https://simpleflying.com/why-22-russian-built-jets-have-sat-rotting-at-mexican-airports-since-2020/
