The brand-new Chase Sapphire Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth Airport's Terminal D debuts today, featuring 18,000 square feet of premium amenities including a dedicated whiskey lounge and chef-curated dining.
The gist
Chase debuts an 18,000 sq ft Sapphire Lounge at DFW Terminal D, boasting a whiskey lounge, wellness zone, and gourmet dining from local chefs.
Chase has officially launched its latest Sapphire Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), opening doors on July 16, 2026. Situated in Terminal D near gate D25, this split-level venue spans roughly 18,000 square feet, positioning it among the largest lounges in the Chase network, and just slightly smaller than those at New York LaGuardia and Philadelphia airports. The lounge’s design draws inspiration from the vibrant cultural blend of Dallas and Fort Worth, aiming to marry modern sophistication with western heritage throughout its aesthetic and features.
Guests entering the lounge are met with an array of amenities that target both relaxation and productivity. A standout feature is the dedicated whiskey lounge, offering curated guided tastings and a selection of custom barrel-aged spirits, a first-of-its-kind concept within the Chase lounge portfolio. Culinary offerings have been elevated through a partnership with Encina, a well-regarded restaurant from DFW’s Bishop Arts District. This collaboration brings chef-curated dining and local beverage pairings, including coffee from Fort Worth’s Cherry Coffee, enhancing the local flavor infused into the lounge experience.
Wellness is another area of focus within the new Chase Sapphire Lounge. A designated wellness zone includes private shower facilities, resting pods for relaxation, and access to Face Haus facial treatments. Additionally, guests can partake in Peloton-led stretches and meditations streamed directly to their mobile devices, a wellness amenity soon to be rolled out across all Chase lounges. For those traveling with families, the lounge incorporates a kids’ room and a private nursing room, ensuring comfort and convenience for all passengers.
The lounge also caters to business travelers with customizable workspaces featuring varied seating arrangements, movable laptop tables, and a striking sapphire-blue tiled fireplace that balances comfort with productivity. A signature bar offers a curated wine list through Parcelle, alongside regionally inspired cocktails, showcasing the lounge’s commitment to high-end beverage selections.
Access to Chase Sapphire Lounges is primarily granted through Priority Pass™ Select membership linked to Chase Sapphire Reserve Card holders and the Ritz-Carlton Credit Card, with guests allowed complimentary access depending on the membership type. Those with other Priority Pass™ memberships have limited access, while non-members can purchase entry at $100 per visit, subject to availability. Restrictions apply on timing, with access allowed up to three hours before departure or earlier for connecting flights.
DFW now holds a unique position as one of only three airports nationwide to feature lounges from all three major credit card issuers: Chase, American Express, and Capital One. Alongside Chase’s new offering, Terminal D is also home to an Amex Centurion Lounge, a Capital One Lounge, a Plaza Premium Lounge, and notably, the United States’ first Plaza Premium First Lounge, elevating the airport’s amenities to a new level. This dense concentration of credit card lounges provides travelers with unprecedented options for comfort and service prior to departure.
The arrival of the Chase Sapphire Lounge at DFW marks a significant enhancement in airport hospitality offerings. It reflects the increasing investment from credit card issuers to provide exclusive, high-quality experiences that complement air travel. The lounge’s robust size, combined with standout features such as the whiskey lounge and wellness zone, distinguishes it within the competitive landscape of airport lounges, especially in a major hub like Dallas Fort Worth.
Considering DFW’s strategic importance as a major U.S. hub with extensive domestic and international traffic, the lounge’s opening caters to a diverse traveler demographic seeking both relaxation and productivity before flights. The lounge’s integration of local culinary and beverage partnerships alongside premium amenities aligns with a growing trend of offering distinctive regional experiences within global lounge networks, enhancing the traveler’s connection to the destination city even before takeoff.

Austin Airport Burger Hack Saves $12 by Ordering Kids' Meals Twice
At Austin airport, two $6 kids' burgers provide the same half-pound of beef as one $17.99 adult meal—with extra fries. Plus, Kristin Cavallari puts her children in coach, DFW's Chase Sapphire Lounge appears finished, and one passenger streams the World Cup for an entire flight.

Airport Lounges Face Persistent Theft Despite High Security and Surveillance
Airport lounge guests are stealing cups, books, artwork, utensils, and anything else not bolted down. Capital One seems to know it, even branding its lounge cups as being "on permanent loan."

Dubai Overtakes Atlanta as World's Busiest Airport in Early 2026
The question of which airport is the busiest in the world is more than just a piece of trivia for aviation enthusiasts. As travel demand continues to recover post-pandemic, the size and business of an airport help passengers anticipate wait times, helps airlines optimize their networks, and allows governments to prioritize massive infrastructure investments. For a facility to claim the top spot, it must manage a staggering symphony of takeoff and landing slots, coordinating tens of millions of passengers across hundreds of gates every single year.
Almost $2 Million in Unpaid Aircraft Property Taxes Uncovered in Travis County Texas
Aircraft owners in Travis County, Texas, are facing nearly $2 million in delinquent property taxes, according to a list published by the Travis County Tax Office. The 20 aircraft-related accounts have outstanding balances totaling approximately $1.98 million, with individual debts ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to more than $300,000. Several owners owe more than $100,000 in unpaid taxes. The largest delinquent account carries a balance of nearly $339,000, while another aircraft-related account exceeds $230,000, according to county records. Many of the aircraft tied to the delinquent accounts are associated with airports serving the Austin area. Twelve of the accounts are connected to Austin Executive Airport, while others are linked to addresses near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The Travis County Tax Office said the list was released as part of its effort to encourage aircraft owners to resolve outstanding balances. Tax Assessor-Collector Celia Israel said aircraft owners who base their airplanes in Texas should expect to meet their local tax obligations. "If they own a plane and house that plane in Texas, it is reasonable to expect they can pay their fair share of taxes due," Israel said. While Travis County has collected the vast majority of property taxes assessed for the 2025 tax year, officials said recovering remaining delinquent balances remains important because those funds support local governments and public services.
